I am a sucker for a great tree. What makes a great tree? I guess it can be a variety of things. I am a sucker for big, beautiful, shady trees with character. This tree is at my (other) place of work. I’ve always admired it. The leaves fall off in the winter, it stays bare for a few weeks, and then they come back in the spring. A couple of months ago there was a wedding under it, and it really came to life. The coloured lights shining on the tree, lanterns and fairy lights strung from the branches, it looked stunning. I had my camera at work the other afternoon and couldn’t resist stopping and taking this picture.
